 CNC Wire EDM Programming Cosmos maintains a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment including CNC milling machines and lathes, and wire EDM machines, which allow for greater accuracy and precision. Once the production die designs have been approved for construction, a CNC programmer is assigned to the project. The responsibilities of the programmer is to identify all the programming required for the project. He will ensure that all the custom CNC and Wire EDM programs are completed for fabricating the precision components of the die. These programs consist of complex 3D data, multiple drilling and tapping cycles (for die sets), and simple 2D programs. The complex 3D programs can consist of up to (and beyond) tens of thousands lines of code. |
